WTB 8.8 gears

Lmk what ya got. Looking for some 3.73 I think

oldskoolstang 01-07-2013 10:02 PM

I've got a set of factory Ford 3.55's from a 03 Mach 1 with 50-60k miles on them. In perfect shape. I'll see if I can actually put my hands on them when I get home.

My brother has a set of 3.73 that were in his car for like 30 miles and made a ton of noise due to them being set up incorrectly... If you want them im sure he wouldn't mind giving them away if you wanted them.

That would be cool. Where are they located?

03SVTCOBRA 01-07-2013 10:25 PM

West Ashley, I dont have a ride atm or ide drop them off. Im sure he wouldnt mind meeting you somewhere around town.

Qwik_Sn95 01-07-2013 10:46 PM

What's in your car now?

BAD BOB 01-07-2013 10:55 PM

The turbo car is 3.73. My blue car has 4.10a or bigger right now and it turns too many rpms driving around and want to make it a little better on gas

Either or. Just let me know what we can work out. Thanks

Qwik_Sn95 01-07-2013 11:22 PM

Yea I'm thinking about going to a 3.55 or 3.73 in my car. That glide 1st gear and 3.27's are lazy out the hole.

slowgreen99 01-07-2013 11:23 PM

3.27s should be nice with a turbo.

Yea is at least try a 3.55. Mine has be doing ok with the 3.73 in it now. It's at 3200# so it's got some weight to get moving

Qwik_Sn95 01-07-2013 11:34 PM

Yea same here my cars heavy. The 3.27 is good for cruising around but for 8th mile racing it needs a gear change.

If you'd just put a 26 inch tire on it you'd be fine.....go get the 3.55s and put them in....they are in the garage, somewhere...lol

Have you seen 26's on a SN car. It looks like shit. I picked up some 3.55's this weekend and ive got those 3.73's on the shelf. Plan on getting a PTC converter soon and im going to talk to them about which to use.

Qwik_Sn95 01-08-2013 12:41 AM

just shoot offer. Shipping will be like 15$ probably. Im not going to use them so there all yours.

Bradleyrj 01-08-2013 11:15 AM

I have 3.31's in my car SBM. They work very well with the turbo.

BAD BOB 01-08-2013 11:21 AM

but you also dont have a glide right? with the small first gear in the glide it makes it pretty hard to get heavy thing moving
