washing machine issue.
the drum won't turn and it makes a sound like a basketball buzzer when it tries. My wife tried to wash a bunch of blankets at once. I am going to start to work on tommrow. any ideas of what is broke?
|
I think there's a belt that may have snapped from the stress or come loose. I could be wrong though. Just hit it with a hammer.
|
Front load or top load?
|
Belt from motor to drum most likely.

If its a whirlpool it has dog ears that are plastic that break...Call Barfields Appliance in goose creek in the morning and give them the model # and they can tell you if yours has em...They break from overloading...There is othe models also but i cant remember them all...

tks for the help.

Whirlpool too loaded is easy to fix as long as the motor is good. There is a rubber coupler and plastic cogs that connect motor to transmission. The rubber or teeth on plastic cog are shot more than likely.
