How-To: Rear QA1's with Ruslow upper mounts **PICS**
Here's some pics from when I installed the QA1 rear shocks. These are some beautiful shocks and they are very light. I went with the upper shock mounts from Stan @ Ruslow and they worked great.
Here are some shots of the old Bilstein shocks with the bed removed. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture009.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture007.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...Picture010.jpg Here are the QA1's. The one on the right has the Ruslow upper shock mount installed. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture014-1.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture015-1.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture016-2.jpg And here are some shots of the QA1's after they were installed. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture021-1.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture017-1.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture020-1.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture019-1.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture018-1.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...cture022-1.jpg The ride seems to be a little smoother now. I did some riding around and decided that the best feel for me was with them set to the 6 setting on both sides. These shocks are a little smaller at the bottom than the stock ones. This was not a problem though because the lower shock mounts only had to bend slightly to get a snug fit. If anyone has any questions, please PM me and I will do my best to help you. |
