Man Sucked into Jet Engine..Graphic
As a jet engine mechanic myself, we have rules in place for how close we get during power runs. Also have inlet covers for the fighters.
Pretty unforgiving. Also can't imagine being one of the people on board. "The 737-500 was carrying 114 passengers and five crew members at the time of the accident, he said." http://www.teoti.com/news/113077-man...n-warned-.html |
I really don't even know what to say other than I should read before I scroll.

Saw the A6 video from the carrier in class. That was enough for me.

737's are some of the more dangerous in my opinion. The inlets are right on the ground and I would think very unforgiving.
|
holy shit, there is no way you'd know that a human was involved with that unless you were told... one thing that surprises me is how far behind the plane stuff was... where did the bones go??? thats what i really cant figure out at all.
as was said before, at least it was quick... |

I've seen one where the guys helmet stopped the fan after it sucked him up in it. idk if he died or not but the helmet did stop the blades.
|
I saw the same vid as electech, back in 1997 when I was in A school, in Pensacola. a few years later, there was a vid of someone getting sucked up on a carrier, but he survived. the IGV's kept him out of the engine. he escaped with only hearing loss and some bruises. When I did final checks on turning jets, I stayed WELL away from the intakes.
