Any body shop/fiberglass experts?
 

Having an issue with the hood on my wife's challenger cracking/bubbling. Looks like it could be the gelcoat causing the problems? The scoop is the only part that is doing this. Is it gelcoat related or poor fiberglass work?

Looks like the filler id cracking grind it out start over.

Sand it off with 80 grit, sand with 220, 400 then prime and paint. Or prime then use this stuff..

or prime and spray semi-flat black (the cheap route)

Looks like poor prep and/ or use of the wrong materials. My guess is that the didn't get all the mold release wax off before it was painted or they sanded it into the gel coat, but it could be other things. Bring it to Jamison's and have Kerry look at it.

I've also seen too much film build cause that as the solvents start to cure out.

Looks like a new enough car (regardless if its out of warranty or not)... I'd be at the Dodge lot bitching to beat all hell till they fixed it.

Its an aftermarket hood....

Thanks for the replies. I'm waiting to hear from the manufacturer (Trufiber) about getting a replacement. After doing some research, I see there have been some issues with Trufiber hoods doing this.

I looks like the primer didn't cure before the top coat was applied
