Appliance Repair

Does anyone on the site dabble in appliance repair, or can y'all point me in the direction of a reputable shop that does appliance repair? The microwave that came with the house when we built it capped out the other night and normally I would lean towards getting a new one but when I looked up the one we have it's almost $1000 bucks! For that price I'd at least like to take it somewhere and have it looked at. It appears that it no longer is getting power, but it could be something else? Hopefully it's something simple but we'll see? Thanks in advanced for any help you guys might be able to provide!

Thanks, Mike

Most of the microwaves I used to work on has a fuse for the power supply. It will blow out and all power is gone. Most of the time it blows from moisture on whatever is being cooked building up on the circuit boards inside. It's been a few years since I have worked on one but I would think they would still have a fuse in them.

Take cover off and look around power cord inside there should be a fuse somewhere in there.

Barfields

Dennis Barfield gave the business to his son or grandson.
He just collects the rent at the end of the month.
He is heavy into cross country racing with his 1916 Studebaker.
He also has some fantastic restorations of old gas pumps & lube equipment.
