Aftermarket AOD shifter
What does everyone recommend as for as a shifter for a full manual vb aod? My stock one isn't cutting it anymore, and I'm not sure on which aftermarket one I want to go with?
Also gate or ratchet style. Any input is appreciated. |
well for what you do with the car it should be fine! Show car and sit at the house no need to waste money. J/k lol

Call Holcomb Motorsports, I believe Hurst make a shifter for the AOD. I love the hurst quarterstick were using in the white car.

Ed bought the Hurst Model # 3162009 for the notch. http://static.summitracing.com/globa...uu-3162009.jpg As we found out the hard way, you will still need an adapter for it to work with an aod. This is B&M part # 40496 http://static.summitracing.com/globa.../bmm-40496.jpg |
oh yea, we don't have any input/feedback, and probably never will. The car will easily have the record for longest "welded to jack stands" vehicle on CHP. Been 13 months just to change the oil pan gasket and rear main seal ona stock 302 :hysterical:

I got ya beat mike! Mines been on jackstands so long I named all the spiders under it! They are hand fed spiders now! 3yrs wow
|
I am definitely party of the jack stand club.

Mine will run again! I just ordered the jetsons power pak option cause it looks like that's about when it will get out of the garage!
|
I've slowed up on mine also. Big dollar items to buy.

My shifter is a pistol grip pro shift, but not sure if B&M or Hurst makes it. As far as jack stands, mine has been on them for a year and eight months, but she might get to see what concrete feels like soon..:bigthumb:
