how to convert from 3/8 hardline to 5/16

got a nice thick tranny cooler at LKQ

out of a Ford F-150 or something, nice thick & heavy.

problem is, it has 3/8 lines

and a TH400 has 5/16 cooler lines

is my option to use a piece of rubber line and clamp the crap out of it?

i have a flare tool, a bender, and even a tubing cutter.

i really like for my stuff to look good, and i aint really in a rush for the Nova to be on the road.

but the guys at Advance could not figure it out.

there were couplers for each size, but no adapters,

??

im sure you should be able to find adapters or fittings to run the 3/8 line all the way

oh, so you want me to do MORE work.....

that's a good idea.

what size fitting goes into the side of the TH 400?

i can buy more line, and then bend it as needed.

I'm all about helping the local businesses, but when they charge twice as much as Jegs or Summit for the same fittings, I will just assume pay $3 for shipping when I am still saving money. IMHO

Parks on Rivers, performance side

I agree about Chas Rubb and Gasket. They are good in a pinch. Aslong as it is Mon-Fri.

Personally i would run 3/8 cooler line all the way.

Ive got a set of fittings that screw into the the th400 that are 3/8, i also have a bunch of 3/8 hard line hanging out here.

Just have to bend it. But then you have 3/8 line instead of 5/16, and it looks a hell of a lot better than rubber hose.

that is the rub i get from the guy at the Perf side of Parks.

a MSD coil is $39~44 on line.

it's ~$60 at parks

but it's ~49 at Advance. ( i think it is one day delivery )

guy at parks (John?) always says "but i got it right here"
but heck, i think the Perf Side is closed on weekends anyways.

and truth is, you can find most things on Craigslist over the weekend, now.
