Any track rentals anytime soon?

I want to make a few passes down the 1320 but would rather do it during a track rental because tech is usually a litter more relaxed and I dont feel like driving 2 hours to the track on a regular night just to get the boot after the first pass.

Illusions 03-22-2010 10:03 PM

we want the 1320 also and feel the same way. I feel your pain.

carolina aint bad the last time i went. they just said going so fast you need a fire jacket and even on slicks they didnt check for drive shaft loop or roll cage

Sounds like a good time. Thats what Im afraid of when driving to a 1/4 track is getting there making 1 pass and getting the boot. Any info?

i've had 1 friend get booted from carolina for going 10.1 with no cage. as long you have pants, helmet, and a fire jacket when required, you'll be fine. in the 5 years i've been racing there they've never had tech inspection on TnT nights

carolina has all there rules on their website.

Thats why I asked about track rentals. Usually at track rentals the cage rules go out the window.

Looks like you will be putting a cage in soon along with a fire jacket. I'm glad I have a long way to go before we get that fast.

Thats because I didnt get to race any of the race cars.

Red99T/A 03-23-2010 02:05 PM

lol ok. Your truck looked like it was running really strong, the race rubber doesn't hurt

chrisheltra 03-23-2010 02:07 PM

Ive contacted both carolina and darlington to see how much they want to rent the track for a half day or full day. Still waiting to hear back from both.

LXtasy 03-23-2010 05:03 PM

Probably 5k MINIMUM chris. I know for the s-10 supernationals the group contacted many of tracks and that was the starting price.

I think it would be less for you to bring your truck up to spec. Or just be happy with your speed the way you are.
