TDL rule change
 

Right now there is a terrible discrepancy between the top 10 and the rest of the list. I have seen 2 months go by and these cars that by all accounts should be moving up the list are going no where or backwards. I say we band aid the situation for now, and allow all cars to call out 8 spots no matter where you are on the list.


Then next year we can use some sort of taper system like this:

25+ call out 8
20-24 call out 7 spots
15-19 call out 6 spots
10-14 call out 5 spots
5-9 call out 4 spots
1-4 call out 3 spots


.... and for those that are going to say oh! here goes Mike again changing the rules to make it easier on him. Well :Finger2: :hysterical:
This rule will do nothing but make it harder on me and the slower cars.

I actually think this will help those who have broken and miss a month or two. if you race you're going to break eventually. It's just some of us break more often. :) We should be back for next month waiting for our next issue to manifest itself. :bigthumb:

A few guys suggested that we dont run june, july and aug and start the TOP DOG back up in sept.

any opinions on this? guys that dont show up, keep your opinions to yourself please

my opinion is, that its only once a month, and for as miserable as the heat is, i enjoy hanging out with everyone but if guys are not going to show up because its to hot, well, that will suck too and i probably wouldnt enjoy it as much

if we are to postpone the races for 3 months then i think we should put something else together where we can make fun of Morey<jk

I'm down with hanging out at D's on the third Saturday night for the next three months.

Postponing it for 3 months is fine with me. Maybe by that time I won't be so busy with work and plus will have all the bugs worked out.

It doesnt matter to me either way. If we have I'll be there, but if we dont I wont cry about it. It will give me some time to get the chevelle sorted out.

if we take a break it makes it harder for some of these faster guys to move up by the end of the year.

I'm fine with going out to Bowman the next 3 months. Even in the heat I enjoy hanging out with everyone and taking pics.

We need to invest in some tents and really big FANS, so don't sell your generator, ummm k!!!

I agree with everything that Mike says (seriously); It is hot but everybody out there bought what they have to take it to the dragstrip so for one day out of the month lets deal with it and have a good time. I think that everybody enjoys getting together and talking trash. If you really enjoy it be at D's on Tuesday.

This is doable. I need a big fan for the shop anyway. Ill roll by northern tool and see what they have going on for fans and tents.

BUT i need some people on the trailer so i can justify driving the truck. Mike if you bring the generator ill bring the fan.

WTF? LOL. Just because I didn't have a number(Washed it off to go home) didn't get to do a burn out or stage and still won the race. She got one hell of a leave!!! Still won. LMAO

i say just run it at dorchester when the sun goes down, or at bowman on a friday night...last night at dorchester it was very comfortable outside, plus turbos like cold air..

I have a 10x20 canopy along with an ez-up and a 30" shop fan I can bring if needed. Hopefully we will be back together by next TDL. But if we have to wait 3 months no biggie, it will give me time to finish up a few other things like get my HID's fixed. ;). :cheers.
