Wanted: SVT member to pick on my red chevy
Looking for a shits and giggles run against a modded SVT truck member or other Truck/SUV. I'm bringing a freshly weighed fat boy GMC Sirria @ 4700 pound , running around 15psi on a stock 4.8L. Requesting a bandaid roll on race, 60-120, or 70-140, whatever is better for your gearing. Takers? :cheers

Dont think anyone will be "picking" on you but sure you will find some good competition around.-Shane

Probably can't get good traction below that. |
Few of us learned that 40-70 will get you a ticket and about a mile away from jail time....ha ha ha(no names!)
40-120 sounds better to me :bigthumb: |
no track? i might be your huckeberry at the track if we can get a transmission crossmember and tune here shortly.
|
I may be interested in a roll race with you if you are open to a tad bit more reasonable race speed wise.
|
We don't have to go that fast, but I would say around 50 is the lowest I could start. I'd be more then happy to track the truck, but this stick shift just won't cut it. It's a GM truck transmission, it hates life with the TQ i'm making and won't slot home till after you make a sandwich, make that two sandwiches.
Chrishelra, lol your the local top dog. You sure it would be a "fun" race for me? Might have to put in a request you pulley up a couple to keep you in camera view. :boohoo: |
There's another L owner on here that may want to race if you can beat him then we can race.
|
sorry i am out and dont street race. lmk if you ever do want to try the track.

those are very very common roll races especially in the supra community. they even have an event for roll racing at lonestar motorsports park during tx 2k events. |

i think only reason he wants that high of a roll is the truck wont havet o shift which he stated it pretty much takes an age or 2 to make happen....
imports are very common to be geared a little diffrent(economy) plus im sure he plans on brake boosting at the higher mph to compensate for the gearing. which im sure your l can do and make power as well.. only ur l proably shifts lol |

Bottom line is Ill run him but Im not going to do a 60/70-160 roll thats just plain crazy talk in a truck. 40-100/120 is best to keep it somewhat sane and if I cant keep up he can back off and call it a win and if he cant keep up with me Ill back off and call it a win. I offered to run him but its not my fualt he/it cant shift. If the above race doesnt work for him then Ill be more than happy to meet him at the track. |
NO PM'S yet
|
i was talking about his reason for wanting a higher mph he would already be in od or right at it where he could hold that mph and hold the brake down and getting the power up it wil lthan allow him to be in power nad the truck will not have to shift.
if he is in say 20mph it will have to shift what 2/3 times before he will in a constant roll or in power in which case he is saying you will havep ulled away further than he can make ground up becuause his truck cant shift. |
