2011 true street rules.

1. Must drive to the track. No trailers allowed.
2. Must RACE on DOT approved tires. If it has a DOT approval, you can run it.

Tire changes are allowed, but only to a DOT approved tire.

This is what most of us pretty much agreed on Sat night at D's. Breaking down was also brought up. Im going to be at every event. So I am volunteering my truck and trailer. It will be at the events every time, and it holds two cars.

From what I gathered last night the consensus was to keep it at Bowman. My personal feelings are that last year we tried Dorchester and couldnt make it through our list, we just cut the night short. Dorchester is just crowded. Every time we went to Bowman we were able to finish with day light to spare.

I, for one, dont want to drive 100+ miles round trip on $500 tires if I dont have to.

Carlrx7 01-23-2011 09:09 PM

i say no tire changes then.

Try 125 miles one way. That's why I will be trailering mine to a rendevous point. And hope that I can change to my DOT tires when I get there. I hope to run in some of the races.

Matts94Z28 01-23-2011 10:12 PM

Carlrx7 01-23-2011 10:18 PM

Can I change my tune and gas at the track? How about blower pulley ratio? Can I change my tire pressure?

If you want to drive to the track on your race tires then do so. I will be changing my tires when I race regardless.

We cant change the rules to accommodate you alone. They have to be made to accommodate the majority to ensure maximum participation. :bigthumb:

It makes too much sence to allow tire changes, in reality its nothing but a matter of saving money

Yup Id rather get there on my cheap 400 tread wear tires than my expensive 000 tread wear tires.
