HEY! Whatever happened to the FREE index race entry? We were charged $25 to race in the index race plus the $15 entry fee. So much for being FREE as the thread title states with its FALSE advertisement. Then instead of prorating the purse since they couldn't get 12 cars for each index they decide to go gamblers race(bracket). Which they ended up having 20 cars in the gamblers race. Some vehicles are better index racers and others are better bracket cars.

Then the gates opened at 12pm for what was suppose to be a "DAY of Racing" and the racing didn't start until 7pm. 12pm until 7pm is a little long to be sitting in the field on a hot day bored waiting for any sort of information. This was in my opinion a very poorly planned and executed event.

Never again will we run in a candyman sponsored event.

I myself was disappointed in the amount of cars, not to mention that streetkings race still had not happened by 12:35am. I ended up leaving. Honestly, I have seen better turn outs at Dorchester on a Sunday. Definitely not worth the $15 bucks.

almost glad i had to work ''''
ronald would never treat a racer like that'' i guess there some bad people out there'''

Matts94Z28 06-12-2011 10:39 PM

We did see this at the track. It was the most entertainment I had at this event.

Nice. I hope there was just a really wide four wheeler on that trailer.

Ronald and crew did not run this event. It was a Candyman promotion 100%. Candyman rented the track for this FREE ENTRY index race. I have a few words to say about it and none of them are "good job" "well planned".

12 car min for free entry, 20 cars total doesnt equal 12 car min for both classes, thats why it wasnt free

bigboy7742 06-13-2011 07:41 AM

How was the track was it hooking

LXtasy 06-13-2011 09:37 AM

It turned into that since there was only 9 in the 7.0 class and 6 for the 6.0 at 7 pm. Eliminations to begin at 9. Event changed after we were already signed up and paid 15 to spectate and 25 to race in the class

Bowman always hooks. There is never an issue with Bowman's track prep just outside event promoters changing the prices. This is the second event in a row that has falsely advertised the prices and details of the event.

We were at the track at 1pm expecting as the flyer states ... "a day of racing". well no one was there except the owner. Once Candyman arrived, admission fees were paid and the driver signed the sheet. That's when the fee to race was charged. This was 4 hrs prior to the drivers meeting where they decided to turn everything into a gamblers race.

EDMUND FLASH 06-13-2011 12:42 PM

bad day at Bowman '''
i,m just saying ronald would never do the racers that way'' he's too good a man '
sometimes its hard to trust these outside people ''
