I can't say anything about 4 cylinder turbos. I had 4 of the 86 Dodge Omni GLH turbo cars. And with no more than a fish tank air bleeder and better exhaust, they would run 9 flat in the 8th. Now keep in mind, that isnt shit to todays standards, but in 86 -89 the Corvette would only run mid 9's in the 8th, and the IROC's. I was having a blast with them for sure. I had one I put a fogger on, and even in third gear with front wheel drive, when you would squeeze it, it would just spin in the same direction you were heading, no steering it, til you lifted..
