Ive been pretty fortunate with my neighbors and HOA. I just recently paid dues, $60 a year. The president is the secretary and treasurer. He said he wants to keep it low so their is no way it can be backed by a lawyer. And also stated that if we had a problem just talk to your neighbor. lol My kinda guy.
I was a little worried when I first brought my car there, but the col de sac is very laid back and are ok with the car as long and I give them something off the grill when it is fired up and take them for a ride in the car occasionally. Pretty fortunate.
Hope this works out for ya. Sounds like your self control is beyond mine. Pretty sure I would have drained their ac system, turned off the water supply, disconnected a phone/cable line or something by now.
