My MIL wanted to go on a trip to MB a few years ago. So she booked us rooms at some cheap ass ocean front hotel too. I walked in that room and it wreaked of cigarette smoke, cat piss and pregnant teenagers so I immediately walked down to the lobby and got a refund for all of us (3 rooms total) and took my happy ass to a hotel down the street which was much nicer.
This is where we ended up staying instead.
