Maybe it's a GM thing, because the controls arms on an f-body move the rear end forward and backward. The Panhard bar moves the rear housing left-to-right.
What is different about a fox body? Don't the control arms run longitudinal with the car or are the uppers angled enough to allow some lateral movement?
