Yeah, he's serious. It's my car he's talking about. Back almost 10 years ago I didn't really have the skills/tools to weld on my own spring perches when I finally swapped an 8.8 into my '70 (after breaking a few 8" rears). The shop that did the work for me made the rear almost 5/16 of an inch wider on the passenger side. So to compensate and make my wheels fit the same in the fenders I've ran a 1/4" spacer on the driver side. It's worked perfect for me for almost 10 years.....The car tracks straight as an arrow.
But my problem was minimal, his is much worse.
