Default Devotion: Our Agenda

Our Agenda

He said to them, ÔÇ£Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. (Mark 16:15)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)

We are servants of Jesus Christ and we all live in very 'paganistic' societies where there is a lot of Lawlessness and Legalism. We need to ask ourselves are we really giving God the Honor and Glory He rightfully deserves. We are not perfect in this walk of discipleship and sometimes things are really difficult but He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. We need to stop being affected by society but start being effective in it! We need to ask ourselves what is our image of God, is He shaped by our environment or our fleshly desires? Do we respect Him enough and do we always acknowledge His authority in our life.

There needs to be a cry, a DEEP cry in our heart to make a difference in others' lives. We need a paradigm shift in our being of where "fun" is considered ministering to the lost, healing others, and ultimately bringing the Kingdom of God here, instead of getting wrapped up in vain, fruitless activities and I'm speaking to others AND myself.

God, please wake us up to the vanity of our ways. Let us be disgusted in our behavior. Let us have a healthy fear of falling away from You. I pray that You would not let us get any enjoyment from indulging in anything of this world, but instead only emptiness. Please drive us to You and submit us to Your will. Please position Your Bride! Make us fully for You! Make us a faithful soldier for You, Lord! I pray that Your agenda would be all we would seek after.

Help us be honest about ourselves when we come to God our Father. Help us be reminded of how great the power of the Cross is. Jesus has taken ALL sickness, pains and problems to the Cross and giving us the Victory. I pray that God will stir up an increased faith in us that assures us of how loving God is and why we are so blessed. Father, please have mercy on us and please find favor in us, in Jesus' name!

Lord, touch our lives and cause a change towards You to happen in our lives. AmenRead moreShow less

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.
