Go Ls1. Lt1 would require alittle more in tuning/ wiring than the ls swap. Unless you go Truck based than it pretty much is all same wiring except change PCM out and add a couple wires .
I had a bagged 96. It was fun, miss it at times. But hey, I would own a bagged daily.
Is your truck 5spd or auto? Have you ever ran it at the track? Curious if it would beat a 04ish body style stock TAHOE. (inside joke amongst some of us.
