I would suggest getting it. Have one in the 68 and there is almost noway you can fuck up shifting that car. its been in there almost 10 years and have had no problem with it yet. if you have a forward pattern it has a catch so you cannot go in to reverse. you can go 1st to 2nd then to 3rd and when you go through the lights into nuetral and never have to worry about going into reverse or park.
