302 pan looks similar but won't work. The rear main cap on a 351 is why it won't work it is alot larger then a 302. You need a 7 quart pan anyhow, because typically most people with performance engines have high volume oil pumps. A high volume oil pump will empty 5 quarts of oil from the pan to the top of the motor at about 4000 rpm, thus starving the bottom end of oil. Keep in mind on small block Ford's, high volume pump=7 quart pan, normal pump=5 quart pan, and you will be ok. On a side note, I have a 7 quart Moroso pan Ill let go for $100.00 for a 351, but you will have to call Herbert for the pick up and its about $58.00 new..
