Look at the hour by hour break down when it say scattered thunderstorms. Sometimes the scattered thunderstorns are scheduled for only 2-3 hours in a day but just seeing the rain sign on the forecast on that day will run a lot of people off. If the breakdown only shows for2-3 hours of rain at 30 percent most of the time is won't rain.

Don't use weather.com either because they are never accurate when it comes to rain. Accuuweather seems to be the most accurate to me.
