Default only run Ethanol free (premium?) in Lawn Mowers /out door equipment

they call them "OPE" on the lawn mower forums.

none of my 2 stroke stuff would run: both chain saws (old anyways) and the hedger. two 4 stroke pressure washers had quit on me.

had one very old saw fixed at Ed's, guy at Ed's said do NOT use gas with ethanol to make your 2 stroke mix, he said only to use the "canned pre mix" it's ~$5 to ~$8 a can (=$21 gallon for 2 stroke?)

had other stuff fixed at Driggers, counterman said to just buy Super at Piggly Wiggly (it does not have ethanol in it) and use that to make your 2 stroke mix, and always add STABIL

John Deere sells an additive to use if you run ethanol gas in thier mowers, so gonna have to run Super in there too.

YMMV, but I am out some major coin for repairs, and have yet to take the pressure washer in

We've got a ton of stations up here that have ethanol free 87 and 93. Spinx should have it down there.

Where do you buy the canned pre-mix stuff? My weedwacker doesn't work and I strongly suspect it's because of the E.

Ain't government intervention grand?

My lawn mower runs on the E just fine. I do use the stabilizer fuel because the fuel sits for 6 months before getting used up. Same with my pressure washer and gas weed eater. Try it instead of paying 30 cents more per gallon for 93

The problem is when the fuel evaporates and the ethanol is left over it turns to a jello like substance and clogs everything up.

Had to rebuild the carbs on my outboard because of it.

Best thing to do is to use an additive or E free gas.

You Don't even wanna know what it did to the fiberglass gas tank in my boat.......

If it won't take the E then give it the D.

lowes & home depot have it. Lowes has several brands, and one was on sell for $5 if you bought 6.

i ran my power hedger on it tonite, after driggers fixed it, ran best it ever has.

Driggers & Ed's & John Deere dealers all have it, but price goes up...

We use an additive called Startron made by starbrite along with stabil in most of our small equipment at work. Anything that sits needs an additive, papa bear hit it on the head on what is happening with the fuel and it's only going to get worse. With the fed govt ramping up the e levels to 15% at the beginning of this past year it's going to be harder and harder to find non e fuels. On a side note if you've had a piece of small equipment that is hard to start and running poor, fresh fuel with additives and a dose of sea foam will help clear up some of those issues. If it's not starting or running go ahead and buy a carb kit and clean the fuel system out

Hot Spot on 17 at College Park sells 87 Ethanol Free. That's what I use in my Lawn Mowers and Weed Eaters.
