I'm holding a car show in Beaufort. It benefits the local community; food drive, other outreach programs through my church. (we help in adoptions, feeding the less fortunate, and our church does Octoberfest; a free "carnival" for the kids, around Halloween)
It would be great for some CHP members to be there, and know what chucktown is all about. Afterall, there is another carshow across town on the same day. I think he is doing his the same day, for spite, but that's O.K. ![]() If any businesses would like to sponsor, and have tent space, please let me know (302) 465-8277. It would be great to have Charleston Performance Solutions to be here, and make there presence known. |

We just held a block party for our church's Proclaim ministry at an auto repair place (big parking lot at a corner where there is a lot of traffic). I go suckered; asked to do into the popcorn machine. At least it was better than running the cotton candy machine.

LOL, yeah for sure. I'm the chief in charge of this. Its like the second legit carshow Beaufort ever had, and a first for the church. Its being done not for profit, and all proceeds go to community outreach. Everyone working the show is volunteering, no one, including me, will be getting paid for this. If anyone can make it, that would be great.
I have a bounce house already, but because this is going to be FAMILY friendly, (including kids and women), the more the merrier. If you know any women that run a women type business (Avon, Mary K, wraps, whatever,) we are looking for that as well, for the ladies. Last edited by usmcgunner; 07-30-2014 at 08:49 AM. |

BTW,
There just so happens to be another carshow on the other side of town, on the same day. They are putting that on in spite of mine. If anyone goes, please don't confuse mine with theirs, I think you would be disappointed. They are mostly imports, mine has everything; classic/muscle (Beaufort Classic Car and Truck Club) trucks, and imports. |

how did it go?
rained cats & dogs up here, but the rain was in bands: light rain for a mile, pouring next 1/4 mile, light next half mile, deluge for next mile. was praying it did not rain you out, was hoping we got all the rain & you got the sunshine.

It rained a bit for the first hour or so, but after that, the skies opened up, and it became sunny and hot. The music got playing, live music, food, bounce houses, and cars. Mostly muscle and classics. Someone from Summerville, in a yellow Acura NSX was here and won I think 2 trophies.
The turnout was good enough to start planning one in the spring; around May/June timeframe. |
