I had the car 'aligned' by a local shop that has done every other vehicle I needed done in the past 12 years. This ranges from DDs to the Camaro to my truck. So I have a comfort level in their ability.
I put the coupe on the road Saturday and its not right, way too "twitchy", guess its oversteer b/c a little move L or R makes you do alot more work L and R to get it straight. But in a effort to get some feed back from AJE (K-member and A-arms) I emailed them not expecting any response but to my suprise they have been very responsive. Couple emails back and forth yesterday with another one today. Providing me with information that is helpful and asking questions that make sense. Just wanted to give them some feedback knowing lots of times no one post the good stuff, just the bad.

I should go ahead and get some responses on what the alignment should be....
Camber is L .1* R .3* Caster is L .6* R .7* Toe L .12* R.13* I am used to seeing toe in inches but degrees seems to be common now and from what I can tell that is about an 1/8". And I am assuming its toed out but I am open to listening and learning. AJE (and others) have suggested a 7-8* Caster #. Thoughts/Suggestions? Front suspension: AJE K and A-arms QA1 coil overs stock Rack and Pinion no bumpsteer kit (not sold i need one) Rear Suspension: stock-some have suggested I put the tubular stuff on it to see if that corrects the issue but I dont think that will do it. I have been in other OLD stuff and not feel this out of control. No sway bars F or R. Truck doesnt have them either and I feel very comfy in that thing.

-.5 to 0 camber
As much caster as you can get Toe in 1/16 Bumpsteer kit will keep you from a toe out condition as the suspension travels. I am not an expert. Mine is setup this way and drives great. Toe out makes a car sketchy to drive. |

I run AJE stuff with no problems either, and they are very good at responding to customers. Mine tracked really funny with no rear sway also. I went to an ARB and it does good except for the tires like to track on certain pavments..

Just have not put one on it, it didnt come with one and I have not looked around for one.
Any recommendations?? Probably want something somewhat streetable. I talked to the shop that did the alignment and he asked if there were any other steering problems that could be causing it. Said it was all new stuff. Said they would relook at it if I wanted them to. SO, I think to rule out rear end play of worn out bushings I will put the tubular stuff on it and see what happens. If it still acts goofy I will take it back and give them specs to move things to. OR I will just do it myself (probably not the best idea). So would one agree that I need more Caster? And Toe should be less than .12 to .13*? from looking around that's almost an 1/8" of toe but not sure if its in or out....

Most of your anti roll bars are supposed to be disconnected if street driven. You can rip the mounts right off because there is no give.
