Default Been a while. Changes

Haven't been on here in a while! Normally I never run across anyone or know of anyone around me now.

I'm stationed in Cherry point NC. Normally hit up Fayetteville when the car is together.

Made some changes to the car so I can fit some different classes around here. Cleaned up the interior. I'm also repainting the engine bay because of that melted head I had a while back.

Still the cars best time is 9.72@149 6.3@118 1/8 on that pass. Made 801whp / mustang dyno.

This go around I want 1000whp on the dyno and an 8sec pass. We shall see! Enjoy the pictures.

See you at the track!

The flake!

Interior:

After:

A little safety!

The new gears! Fuck Syncros!

Also the new block is hard blocked 90% so I can still use the water pump to push coolant through the head some. It lifted the head at 40psi last year so 50psi this year should do the trick!

I remember seeing you make a few passes at Dorchester. Didn't see it make a successfull full pass, but your car is badass! Post up videos when you do make it back to the track!

is there no part of the cage over your head and supporting the A-pillars in the event of a rollover? other than that, looks/sounds like a badass build

I have a couple of the 9s passes I can put up. Hopefully it just keeps getting faster.

Not yet. If I knew better back when I put it in I would have had a chromoly 10pt installed. This one will be cut out and a new one installed once the car is back together and running.

^ a little inspiration for you also, a good brain to pick if (or more like when) you start running into drivetrain issues with the "best of the best" in dsm components at over 1xxxhp

for those who dont want to read through the thread to find videos:

Yeah myself and John are good friends. I have already destroy gears in a PPG dogbox and at $900 a repair for that thing I called it quits for the damn thing.

My car is pretty light so I get away with alot more than John does with his.

That's actually me recording the video haha.

Those two cars both are on the shep/PPG dogbox trans. Both just sent them in for repairs costing over 2k.....

Mike's car the red 2g is amazing. Complete removable front end, thats engine and all in one shot. It's sporting an 8.8 rear puts down over 1100whp.

Man how can you not go auto these days!? The support is finally coming around. If I was to stumble back into the DSM camp and it may happen, without a doubt my setup would be like one of these cars. I do have have 8 years of playing with them, owned 5 in all.

Old vids and all 3 of these guys are faster now, but to lazy to search for the latest.

In short, 5.5's 8th and not much slower in the streets = game face and make that money!

Old clips, but good shit.

Can't watch the vids but I'm betting one of them is Jeff Bush at English. He's had me convinced that auto is the way to go for a while now. If I get back into one it will def be auto. I've been trying to convince Chris to go auto for a while now lol.

Weve got a 2g awd I mess with. On a stock 6 bolt with a holset it was fast on the street. Changing setups now with a rod piston combo and a nice auto setup.
