Default 85 Mustang coupe

Before I say anything, this is a bill of sale car, I do not have a title, but nothing is owed or anything stupid on the car.

Asking: $1200. or trade for ATV, boat or Jetski

I bought the car and put a starter and a radiator on it right off. I then put an alternator and header gaskets on it and straightened out a few things. It seems to run and drive o.k., but will hang up in 2nd if you shut it off in 2nd....it pops right back out when you let the clutch out, but thought it was worth mentioning. It's a 4 speed of unknown year model, probably early 80s. The driveshaft it to long and should be addressed quickly.

Car has a Mass Air conversion with a 87-newer dash and seats. Front drivers seat is shot.

Aftermarket stuff:
- old longtube headers of unknown brand
- exhaust shop made h-pipe
- Flowmasters with dumps
- solid motor mounts
- subframe connectors
- Aftermarket rear lower control arms
- sweet ass flimsy Cobra tag on front bumper

There is a small amount of rust on floorpans and bottom on doors. The quarter glass seals are shot. Also the hood is for a 87-93 car.

One with the center caps on. I don't like them on....

I forgot to mention that there is cowl damage from when a previous hood flew up and it also cracked the windshield.

I know nothing about the motor. It appears to be all stock and is a roller motor. I was told when I got it that it had gt40 heads, but I haven't verified that. Stock intake, stock MAF, stock injectors, etc. Only performance mods are headers and exhaust. It runs pretty good and is not slow.....but it's not fast either. It will idle all day and doesn't run hot. It holds around 40-45 psi oil pressure when warm and hasn't used any oil in the 20 or so miles and couple hours that I have ran it.... I forgot to mention that this car was originally a 4 cylinder car.

As for a car count I only have 3 Mustangs, 1 Cutlass, 1 Silverado, and 1 Toyota Landcruiser.

I've got the paint already and am going to shoot it when I get home. Hopefully, I'm not stuck here in Baton Rouge more than another month.

gt-40 heads should have 3 bars on the front of the head indicating they are gt-40's I believe.

Yeah, I've had about 5 sets of gt-40s/gt40p's. I will take the time to look at it this week and see what's on it. I know they are not gt-40p's. It runs really good for a stock 302 motor. I'm sure I can get it in the 7's in the 1/8th with a 100-125 shot. I just need a nozzle, I have a couple kits....

I picked up a new column and some interior trim for it today. I need door panels for roll-up windows, and the rear section of the interior pastics and It will all be converted....

I also picked up a kit of paint for the car today, so this weekend I'm going get it sanded, prepped, and primed if I have time......then hopefully paint it next week. Before I can do that I've GOT to find a stock hood for this car.....

I'm not doing any more work to this car other than tearing it apart.

I just bought a 88 5.0 coupe roller with a clean title and am going to swap the motor, rear-end, and complete efi system (tank, fuel lines, harness, and computer) into it from this car.

I will post it up for sale very cheap as a roller/shell once I get the parts that I need.

I never tried. I didn't really need one since in GA any vehicle 1985-older doesn't require a title.

I'm going to take a lot off the car, but when I get it torn down it would make someone a good project. the dash and all the interior will still be there as well as the brakes. If nothing else I'll give it to one of my round track buddies for them to make a dirt bomber...
