Default Duramax people

What oil, oil filter and fuel filters do y'all like to use? Time to spend some money on this truck this coming weekend.

Also installing my EGR blocker plate and doing the pcv reroute.

My exact response.

I always picked up some rotella T and a fine wix filter from parks when I had to change the oil in my ole pickup. ~90 bucks.

I had already planned on wix as I use them for everything. The only real variable was the oil brand. I run the cheapest stuff I can get in the car and used to as well in the Yukon. The Cobalt is the only car that has ever gotten Mobile 1.

Owning 2 Duramaxs and building both of them pretty well I know them like the back of my hand for the most part. Amsoil oil and filter all the way and either a wix filter or alligator diesel sells a kit to put a cat fuel filter in place of the stock 1 which filters 2 microns for alot better fuel going to your injectors. EGR blocker plate and PCV re-route are extremly easy to do. I would suggest cleaning out your turbo mouthpiece when you get done with the re-route and as far as the EGR blocker plate goes spray PB blaster on the bolts holding the EGR canister the night before.
