No I was checking things like headers hitting the frame or anything loose. It has to be something inside. I'll be pulling wires tomorrow.

Rob,

I had something quite similar on the first engine I ever fully built (granted it was a pre-86 SBC) But had Great oil pressure even hot @ idle and still had a ticking/slap sound that changed w/RPM. This was after like 2 years but no more than 2k on the engine. Anywho, I had a lifter come apart in cyl No 1 intake come apart completely...Only thing thats sucks if it is in your case, you'd obviously have to pull the heads. Theres no chance its just the valvetrain geometry thats off alittle, like one pushrod's a different length or anything? I ask cause its hard to really hear Just the engine in the vid
