Default Randy, bring the stang

We'll actually run since no one else will. Bring the stang out and test it while I try and beat up on it

At the track........ Otherwise if I have the ball and chain with me it's a no go...

Better be careful messin with the ole 2v stang.......... It’s not stock…… and I’ve just about figured out how to get some more ponies using that Diablo I got this weekend and my wideband.

I found some potential in that little motor through some timing (they love timing) and fuel slopes.

Not necessarily. Especially when were talking mod motors.

Good example= race tune on my 5.4 is 4 deg more timing than my street tune but yields 1-10th off my 60ÔÇÖ and 2-10ths off my 1/8ET and 3mph

FYI my race tune is locked at 20deg and requires a minimum of 100oct. I bumped the WOT timing on the stang +4 from 0-2k and +2 from 2-4k the bottom end torque increased notably and there is no bog on the 3-4 shift.

The canned Diablo tune was extremely rich (supercharger rich) so I also pulled a lot of fuel out of it across the entire range.

IMHO the 3-4 shift put the motor out of its torque curve (butt dyno) until it started coming up on the rpm's it didn't pull like the 2-3 shift.

I guess I'm just used to the Lightning low rpm's are where she pulls best.

Ive never really recognized a "lag" or "bog" there, but hell, the whole time my car pulling it feels like a huuuuuge lag

BTW I know why your motor is still togather........ that diablo tune is so conservative that you could run a dry shot and still have enough fuel.......
