Default E38 ECM C6 Corvette Tacho Output

Besides digging into the massive harness that comes off the ECM to get to pin 48 (white wire) for the engine speed. Is there another location this wire goes to that i can tap into, this is for a pump speed controller that needs a tach signal. i plan to add the pull up resistor (1k) to help boost the signal.

I also have an autometer tach adaptor, but dont like the install instructions to cut the main coil pack wires

i think lorenz already did this but i didn't see what vehicle he was working on then

hmm. found this, not looking to good

which pump are you running? you really dont need the controller on the aeoromtive pumps, there are plenty of guys daily driving their cars without them

Should be nothing to nothing. But this sob has turned my drivers seat into a massage chair. Not sure if I'm gonna complain or not.

Metal flange to plastic tank. Even with the O-ring it is still a pretty solid connection.

Sometimes the price you pay to be a baller. Those pumps raise hell outside the tanks, I can't imagine they would be much better inside. I'm sure you have already upgraded your wiring, but I have seen low operating voltage make them growl like crazy, as well.

Not sure complaining will do much good unless they are advertizing it to be smooth and quiet. You may get them to exchange it in hopes that you got a bad one, but I think it may just be what it is. Still a very nice looking set-up. definately big time.

Ah, wasn't sure what he had going on for a tank. But if it is to plastic, sure as hell don't put it metal to metal. If you do you will probably beg to have the plastic back.

I know years ago when we ran a1000, and eliminator pumps external we messed up and put it on the frame rail....and holy hot damn I had to put a system in the car just to hear the radio over the pump.
