Headed down on Thursday and "camping" in the infield. Looking forward to seeing the Viper GTS-Rs vs. the C7Rs, but the race I really want to see is the Continental Challenge race on Friday. The team from Autometrics has a Cayman running in the ST class and it looks strong.
SRT just got a little love from IMSA on weight reduction and a bump in fuel capacity. Don't think it will be enough to keep up with the Corvettes though. They are fast. |

Love the phantom cautions and the winner of one class being penalized for avoidable contact on the last lap when replays clearly showed there was no contact. At least they over turned the penalty.....4 hours after the race.

Was anyone else upset that they only covered half of the classes on FS1? that seems to be the biggest gripe i've read around the internet. I've also seen where people suggested a traveling safety team after seeing the locals fumble.

Every major motorsports series needs a traveling team. Coverage was spotty it seemed. Like i didnt get to see any during the night, had to wait til morning to see anything.

I agree completely. It is nice that F1 and Indy car each have traveling medical teams. I have seen several interviews with drivers who praise the improved training and familiarity between the drivers and medical staff. They have discussed how comforting it is to, not only see a familiar face in an incident, but to know that the people responsible for their safety is highly trained in such maneuvers.

![]() Looked like the C7R had better brakes (and could brake later) than most of the competition...
