freaking crazy experience tonight...

well it is about 8:45 and my friend and i were riding mountain bikes around. we rode down some railroad tracks looking for a few trails, we go down about 10 to 15 minutes and find a side trail off the path. we decide to take the path and figure out where it goes, well we quickly figure out it leads us to a lake that has a bunch of 4x4 trails that lead off from a neighborhood. the trails we head onto are about a mile from the back of the neighborhood in the woods.

well we don't get very far down the 4x4 trail before we come across what looks like a fire. we both assume it is some kids getting drunk so we just casually ride up onto it. well we quickly realize this fire isn't in control and it is the trees and such. we are calmly riding up to it as we hear a loud boom which didn't sound like a gun and didn't sound like a mortar, but oddly we don't hear any laughter or any kind of talking at all... we both realize that something is up and decide to turn around and go around the other side of the lake and get a better view, as we head around we call 911 and report a fire.. well they told me to call back once we figure out what street we are on.... the morons couldn't understand we were in the middle of the woods.. so we go around the other side of the fire and quietly walk up on it and immediately realize it is a car on fire and we hear noises like people talking... we quickly turn around and ride away as quickly as possible. we call 911 and wait for the fire trucks/ cops and we lead them back to the fire. at this point it is pretty damn dark outside.
as we head back up to the fire with the cops and fire department we realize it is a 99-02ish dodge durango. which we assume was stolen...

over all the cops had a really cool attitude which was a change and they let us hang out to figure out what it was. but yeah it was a pretty crazy experience. pictures and video will be coming soon.

Pretty cool. For a second I thought it was going to involve burning bodies or something.

What would have made the story absolutely awesome is if you had quickly built a ramp and jumped the flaming Durango like Evil Knievel. That would have scored you a 10.

honestly i thought there was a good chance of bodies. we thought about doing a evil knievel jump, but we didn't want people's heads to explode with the awesome badassness of the story.

Maybe the car thieves' heads would have exploded and then you two would have been heroes. Naked chicks would have been running out of that neighborhood wanting to thank you for cleaning up their town.

I would have jumped it for the boobies.

DAMN IT. i didn't think about that. now we will have to wait for another thug to steal a car, drive to the back of a dark trail, light it on fire and then we can jump it and jump our way into the history books of savannah as hero's against crime.
