used to go there every year for the snowbirds and ford events ..just off hwy 64 off i-75 we lived in ft.myers fla about a 2 hour drive it was a blast are they still parking in the grassy field or have the black toped it the last time i was there was 2006 nice pictures

Still grassy. It is my impression that the new owners were not, shall we say, as easy to deal with as last year. Track prep was lackadaisical and they cut the rental off at 3 pm, so some of the cars didn't run what they were capable of.

yea thats like the 3rd time that place has changed hands and top fuel has not been there in about 4-5 years now..the old man the owns the property at the shutdown area wont sell out..all they need is another 200 feet .. so i guess until he dies off top fuel will never be able to run there ..that's the story i got back then
