Go ahead and get the top(lower intake) & front end(ac, ps, wp, lower pulley, harmonic balancer etc....) out of the way. Pull the exhaust manifolds, radiator, and the starter. disconnect trans, converter, wiring harness, motor mounts, and yank it out. It's a tight fit between ac condenser and firewall

I probably forgot something, but you'll see it.

Thanks Mike. There was one thing that looked kind of funny. From what Ive read before. I thought the cooler would be clogged with oil. There was no oil, but it had a bunch of paint flakes on it. Some of them were preaty big. about the size of a quarter. looked just like the paint on the supercharger. Is that normal? Other than the paint it was preaty clean. Like it was just cleaned and sprayed down with WD-40. Has any of you heard of any body changing the heads in the truck?

That is probably the coating off of the rotors.

I worked on this POS some more today. Man I dont like working on this thing. I would rather take the whole drive train out of the chevelle than change the plugs in this damn thing. Anybody need another truck?

Thanks guys mostly just venting. Got the lower intake off and one of the valve covers. Started taking stuff off the front. I would like to delete the egr and do the coolant crossover at the rear of the intake while I have it apart. Im trying to take the fanhub off the front of the water pump right now. Is it left handed threads or something? Thanks for any help.

To the best of my knowledge, you need that hose. It is very common, however to see those collapsed after a bunch of miles. Just be glad you caught it when you did, they usually split and cause a MASSIVE vacuum leak.

You don't have to pull the o2 sensors out, most tuners disable them in the tune. I have no cats. Most people get rid of the cats.

I bet JDM already has the rear o2s disabled, but you can call them to confirm it.

I might put a muffler on it. Im not getting the whole deal. It costs way to mutch. I dont want it to be as loud as all of yours. The chevelle is bad enough.

If you don't mind the stock muffler sound I would keep it. Not much, if any power from getting an aftermarket muffler.
