Default New Pistol Build

Figured I'd share this......

All that's missing is the buffer tube assembly and my sights of choice

PSA stripped lower
PSA LPK
PSA stripped upper
PSA upper parts
Voodoo Innovations 7.5" barrel
Yankee Hill Machine low-pro gas block
Stainless pistol gas tube (also have a pigtail if needed)
AP customs carbon fiber handguard (had to cut about 1" off of it)
Leavang linear compensator
Nickel Boron BCG
BCM gunfighter mod 3 charging handle
Blackhawk grip (probably gonna swap this one out for something a little more supple)
Phase 5 pistol buffer tube kit
H2 and H3 buffers for tuning once I get to put some rounds through it.

After cutting the handguard I need to refinish the end of the rail section, guess I'll just paint it. I was able to incorporate an endcap though, think it really cleans up the front of the barrel.

With that short barrel, traditional .223 off the shelf ammo will only be able to put part of the powder charge towards pushing the bullet. The powder that hasn't yet burned by the time the bullet leaves the muzzle will just make the report very loud. I'll bet that pistol has one hell of a muzzle flash at night!

If you are into loading your own, try a faster burn rate powder such as IMR 4198 or its Hodgdon cousin H4198 to see if the muzzle blast calms down some for you.

Muzzle flash is crazy, even in the daytime.

Got the Sig brace installed, and switched lowers. Figured the Gadsden lower was fitting for obvious reasons. Also got the Primary Arms micro dot installed on a PA QD mount/riser. It is now complete....

Looks good. Where'd you get the end cap? I need one for my rifle.

It was part of the AP customs carbon tube. I cut some off of the end, so thought I wasn't going to be able to use it, but I figured out a way to screw it in. I have seen them sold though, not sure where.

Appears to lots available when googling "ar handguard endcap."
