Ck the ship yards. they use lead plates on the hulls of ships. That is wher I used to get mine from.

You don't have no boat yards in Myrtle beach area. I used to get lead from Detyens ship yard. Many years ago. They use them to balance the ships in water. You can also ck your local tire shops. Lead weights.

lol myrtle beach is an hr from me.. and i dont know of anything in myrtle beach (absolutely no industry) and in georgetown their is not really much either i deliver to the boat yards around hear so ill check them this week.

i can buy weights but id rather make them as it would be cheaper in the lnog run not the inital setup.

ive been pricing the wire line, crimps, swivel bearings ect ect.. and i can build a rig for less than the 5/6$ they are charging now without the hook.

good place to get the leaders, crimps, swivels, thimbles ect ect.

25lb bag of lead shot from a gun shop if you are planning to melt it down and form your own. It's expensive though- $41-$45 for a 25lb bag.

Run by a tire shop and see if they will let you get the bucket of used tire weights. Most places already have a person that gets them on a regular basis. Ya might get lucky and be able to snag a bucket.

i live in georgetown on the water..
i cant really claim myrtle beach i dont live in horry county
and i cant claim charleston cause its well charleston.

im 45min to an 1hr from both chucktown and mb...

i am in chalrleston more at the moment because my friend lives on iop and i go shark fishing with him and i got family in mt plesant.

i use to live in myrtle beach so all my friends live their..

i have no friends where i live.. i have nothing in common with the locals or understand their mentality(for the most part) its a very very black area where i live(wedgefield plantation) is concidered the rich stuck up snobs of the area and if you tell someone you live their u get looked at funny or ignored.

Ah I understand. lol. I live in pawleys and work in gtown. There are a couple places you can check in town. Doc. Tire, Hill Tire, Tire Shop, Tread Quaters, Georgetown Auto, Georgetown Auto Plaza. If your not familiar those are just a couple to rattle off. 701 and 521 will cover those places.

edit: Hey OUTLAWSHAW you happen to know where he might find some use tire weights?

haha very nice you got it covered. I worked at Parrish the GMC dealer till they shut down acouple weeks ago. Now I'm helping a friend out at PoBoys Discount. I'm taking sometime to see what options I have in the Performance side of the automotive world.
