and power booster.

and power steering

Darlington usually doesn't check for much of anything. Make sure you're wearing long pants, have a helmet, and you need a fire jacket if it runs in the 6s or faster in the 1/8 I think. Bill may let you slide on the jacket but I wouldn't count on it. Basic stuff like battery hold downs, radiator overflow bottles, driveshaft loops on cars with sticky tires, etc. All depends on who is doing it...sometimes they never open hoods.

Why do you need to trailer it?

well unless we are rolling convoy up there I would just rather not put the miles on it, besides, if something breaks, having a trailer makes life a whole lot easier.

lol I knew I was going to need to put on my flame-proof suit after responding to this post. The car is not daily driven, but does rack up about 1,000 miles a year on our beautifuly maintained roads.

The million times I have been to Darlington, I have never had them look at my car at all, and have never seen them look at anyone elses either. When did they check all of those things for you??

The one and only time I have been there, they checked for ds loop, overflow tank, helmet, and they made me put long pants on since I was wearing shorts. Maybe they pick on the slower cars.

That's weird. I have never had them check anything. We just went this past weekend too with 2 cars and they didn't check a thing on either one of them either.
D. Buckner was there too- wonder if they checked his car?

This was a while back. I think they had a bunch of new people there.

The only time I was up there the only requirement they were really enforcing was making sure everyone had pants and not shorts.

They usually check cars they've never seen before. They checked mine a LONG time ago for an overflow bottle and a driveshaft loop, but never since.

They just started the long pants rule a few years ago when the new owners took over. They WILL NOT let you race if you show up in shorts.
