Anyone do any backpacking/camping/kayaking?

Buddy of mine invited me to go camping with him, his girl, and her family...headed up to Virginia(an open carry state

) Friday morning...I've been getting together gear for the past few weeks ( internal frame backpack, lightweight backpacking tent, back, fire starting shit, backpacking stove etc...)...were already tossing around the idea of doin some kayaking either this fall or next spring...there is a 58 mile canoeing/kayaking route on the edisto with several areas to pull up and camp...should be a good 3-4 day trip if paced...anyone else do any outdoor adventures?...gear used?:..I'll post some of my stuff up later
