I just got a 2002 camaro bc4. (cop car) automatic. Trans went out on the way home. Didnt want to pay to get it built so I got one from LKQ. Had to get it out of a GMC Envoy. Only thing I could find with the trans still in it. A week later we took it on vaction. Went to Kentucky then P.A. 2000 miles. It did fine for the most part. Only thing was I had to keep it under 74 MPH. If I went 74 or higher the check engine light would start flashing and the converter would unlock. Making it turn about 200 rpm more. What would cause that? Was it just heat? I havent really checked, but you would think a cop car would have a trans cooler.
Also it could shift a little harder a full throttle. Is there anything I could do about that myself. Not looking for it to rip my head off. Just a little firm. Something I can .Thanks. |
