This class is not going to accomplish what you are trying to accomplish. By your rules, Chris Tuten can run the class. The single stage rule is only goin to hurt the slower guys anyway. I have never made a full pass at Dorchester on more than one system- I would only run one anyway and so are the other fast nitrous cars. Just some food for thought.
If you want a slower class, do a radial class, 275 max size- the tire will be very limiting at Dorchester. |

I figured Wes would like that with his 50k race car....(just seeing if he will offer me a 1/2 off hehe).....Looks like it could be good though, but Tuten still qualifies and as fast as the red rocket is, I do no think it will run with the green goblin or scarface.....I do not have any good answers, I think a way to make it interesting would be to bring out the scales and every winner gets the purse and 100 lbs...eventually everyone may be close to running...I am by no means complaining, the entry is free, I do like the no qualifying, straight off the trailer,

by those rules a tube car can run too, I think there is a happy medium somewhere, I just do not know where it is....a couple of good racers could sit down and be impartial and nail down a good set of rules..

A 275 max radial would even up pretty much anyone within reason. And open it up to any make of car.

Really, with free entry there shouldn't be any reason for someone NOT to race. It's fun and you might get lucky!

A 275 class would be great but I dont think there would be a big enough field for 275's. Myself and badbob are the only 2 i can think of over the last few times ive been out.

I agree- free entry, close to the house, I'm coming to have fun. If I win, great- if I get my ass kicked that's ok too.

If you make it a 275 class, were out. Not going to buy 275's just to run this race. My drag radials are 295's. I usually run a 28.0 10.5 slick @ dorchester anyways. You could still use a 10.5W if you want. Not whining, just my 2 cents worth.

With a digital 7 box and a notebook, Chris could get down Dorchester pretty fast on 275 radials.

I doubt it, we usually have 1.2x-1.2x on 275's with our nitrous cars, know a few other nitrous small blocks in the .1x-.1x range on 275's.
