Finished up the drum brake to ls1 disc brake conversion on my 8.5" 10 bolt.

Here are the calipers and brackets after a quick bead blasting.

Mounted

Almost ready to go, just need control arm bushings installed.

New brake lines

Im not putting down a ton of power with a stock ls1. I think this UMI stuff will fit what im doing. I was thinking of going with 26" tires, im only running a 3.42 ring and pinion. Ive got clearance all day long back there.

Out with the old junk.

New brake lines.

Upper control arms

LS1 disk brakes

All installed

CLOSE but i should be ok

Dont mind the missing/shitty lug nuts they are only temporary

Still need to figure out the ebrake cables. I also need to cut and reflare the brake lines to match to the new lines. Then load the suspension and tighten down all of the control arms.

I aired up the tires before we pushed it back off. Two had less than 5lbs in them... lol.

Nah, I was stupid before I started painting cars and using solvents. I haven't gotten any worse. Unless people are just being nice.

Another weekend gone by, another little chunk taken out. A problem though...

The UMI upper control arms dont clear my wheels, not sure why. Im going to install the slip on rotors but I really dont see that making much difference.
