With your close proximity with laws and rights, I'm curious to know what is your opinion on that event? Reminds me of the man hiking with his son while he has his AR15 slung over his shoulder. |

I don't follow your logic. The cop was somehow supposed to foresee that the dog was going to squeeze his way out of the car and start attacking them? That makes no sense.

Didn't read all of the comments but I think it could have been handled differently, maybe by having the owner secure his dog before doing anything. And let's be honest if that dog wanted to bite that cop it wouldn't have tried it just would would have bit his ass. It was probably some boot ass cop that wanted to look tough and shoot his gun. And the kid at the DUI stop just made it harder on himself though the cops did most of what they did the wrong way.

Oh and had it been a CWP holder and not a cop that shot the dog he'd be UNDER the jail.

I've met a way higher number of small "normal" dogs that were WAY more aggressive that would bite and snarl than the typical big "dangerous" dogs. The difference is that they are small ankle biters that most people don't see as much of a threat due to size. I hate when people try to define one breed as being especially demonic when it almost always comes down to how they are raised (or lack thereof).

I own a brendal Red nose pit bull male and he is great, very protective of my kids, one of the smartest animals I have met. That being said he can be very hard headed. But you get out of them what you put into them. I am with shawn and this video pisses me off. In my opinion that dog was doing exactly what he should have given its perception it saw its owner being attacked and did what any dog worth a shit should do. That being said everybody but the dog envolved in this fucked up and could and should have handled it dif
ferently. People seem to have forgotten why a dog is mans best friend they have there purpose and its not doing tricks or laying around looking cute. Hunting. Warning of a intruder, and protecting mans shit when hes not around to do it. Thats there purpose everything else is extra, dont get me wrong I enjoy a game of fetch or good tug of war with my dog. But I fully expect him to tear someones ass up if they try hurting my family or stealing my shit

He didnt squeeze out. The window was all the way down. All of the windows were all the way down. Anybody could have seen that the dog could get out.

the main problem i have with the dogs is so much power controlled with a small brain. you guys are saying the dog was protecting his owner. no, he THOUGHT he was protecting his owner. had he been a normal dog, the cops wouldnt have been scared into filling it full of lead. i would have done the same. dogs do dumb stuff sometimes, and an 80lb dog makes that dumb stuff alot more serious. you can call me a dummy all you want, but the fact still remains- these dogs maul on a regular basis. all pitbull owners are the same- "its never the dogs fault just the owners."
