Looking for feedback on both Yukon gear and Superior Axle. I'm switching from a 29x 11.5 QTP on a 8inch rim, to a 28x 14.5 QTP on a 11" rim. Will have about 4 more inches of rubber on the ground. Goal is more traction and more MPH. That said, some guys can go 9's on stock axles (4000+lb), others snap them in the 11's. I've always spun a little, but managed 1.57-1.63 60's last 4 passes in Darlington. That said, some stress hasn't been added in yet from a dead hook.
Both upgrades would be to a 1541H alloy, still 30 spline. Current rear end setup is GM 10 bolt, stock 3.73's, detroit TrueTrac, Moser Cover/support, ARP studs on caps. Not looking to swap rear ends at this point. Looking for feedback on both brands and other thoughts. Thanks in advance.
