The NMRA class I run in is true street, where we have to make a 30 mile drive and after a 30 minute cool down make 3 quarter mile passes, back to back to back. The point is my car is a 12 to 1 compression motor with an AOD. I drove it to Bowman to run in the Top Dog race, I can run 80mph on the interstate at around 2000 rpm. I would easily drive to your house, idle the whole time I waited on you, and then drive to Dorchester, cool down and race. Not saying the mileage would be the best, but I could do it with my 12 gallon cell and 93 pump gas. Due to the times the car runs I have to have a cage, parachute, and a fuel cell. Believe it or not a fuel cell to NHRA is considered safety equipment. When I started in True Street 12 or so years ago, you were not allowed ET Streets and drag radials were nothing then, the best thing we had were McCrearys or street tires. Mine has tags and is insured all year round, and all my DOT equipment works on the car, and it has a full interior, nothing removed but the center console, and thats cause I didnt want to break it getting in and out the car. Like I said I have no intention on running with street imports, ill leave them to you big guy!
i am just because i can and my car has tags on it all year also. i was going to let the wife run it and have fun. but agen there someone that has to be a big cry babby and find dum shit to take the fun out of it. so now i am just going to run in it to make a point.

I am looking at this as a fun time. All of us that are used to go XXX number on drag radials or slicks will have a fun time pedaling it down the track. I personally don't think I can remotely run what I run on drag radials on regular street tires. So every pass I have a feeling I will be laughing my tail off.

This sounds fun, I might make an attempt at a top 5 finish. The new nt05's are going to hate me for this. Since I just added another spring to the wastegate, looks like -10 timing will be added to the tune. Maybe Chis could just toss a rope back to me, I still got my tow hooks on the nose.

ill just hang a spider from the visor and he'll never run it! lol

i think the going back to street radials for me would be a bad decsion, wheel hop will destroy my diff, ill just stick with the 555r2's i dd on and ill race where they put me.

Are they allowing 555rs? I thought it was no drag radials. If thats the case i DD my MT et street drag radials so are they allowed also?

he is saying if he has to run extreme street then he will.

as far as the daily driving crap i for one dont even daily drive my truck and dont have the intention to so does that make it a race truck? just bc you didnt plan on driving something daily doesnt mean you cant, it just means you dont have too.
