Paying in Pennies
I was leading a race at Martinsville, and with 10-12 laps to go, NASCAR black-flagged me, ruling that I had jumped a restart. After the race I was pretty well devastated. A Motor Racing Network (MRN) reporter came up to me and asked how I felt. I said something to the effect that I personally didn't care, but that I really felt sorry for my team because we had the race won. Not only did I lose the race but was fined $5,000 for saying an expletive on the radio. That really got me hot.

For some consolation, I decided to pay the fine in pennies at the next race, at Charlotte. I called First Union Bank and they put half a million pennies on an armored truck and sent it to the speedway. I've never seen so many pennies in my life. I had told (NASCAR president) Bill France what I was going to do and he said he would play my game. We posed for photos with the sacks of pennies, got media exposure, and everybody got a laugh out of it. France told me the gimmick was funny. I thought that was the end of it. Then France called me aside and told me to get those damned pennies out of there or he was going to fine me $10,000. The pennies went back to the bank and I sent NASCAR a check.

11 out of 16 (32 total) owners have signed a petition to have her removed from the HOA board. The homeowners should be able to get 5 more this week.

As far as my situation. She really screwed herself with the slander. She will have to deal with it at some point.

Good to hear! Revenge is best served twice as hard as the original deed.

More fun tonight...

My neighbor and I were out for a midnight run on the mountain bikes when we came across an officer who was running info on two guys in the street. As soon as the officer saw us he asked us to come to the car while he asked us a few questions about what we were doing out so late. Apparently there has been a sting of robberies in wescott and they are ramping up patrol in the area. We chatted it up for a moment while he ran our info to make sure we were legit...

As we were making small talk the officer asked us if we knew the guys who had the blacked out tahoe in The Abbey! He said they have the residence on a patrol list due to wild parties and loud noise! I immediately started to laugh as I explained the situation to him. Even my neighbor was telling him about the craziness I have been put through. The officer did mention that is it dead quiet every time he had been by and that it doesn't seem we are home often.

In the end, it turns out I need lights on my bike (got a warning) and I need to keep it down. lol. The officer was cool as hell and seemed to take all the info I gave him seriously.

Probably the kind that could be solved by a big dog, alarm system and a gun.

Just read this whole ordeal and Matt, I have to give you credit for keeping your cool like you have. I think you're going about it the right way, just a shitty situation to be in. Makes me glad I live out in the sticks and most everyone near me is family.
Good luck w/ it!

I'm sure most of the robberies in that neighborhood have been to vehicles.

A couple of guys at work got hit in the same night. That's common with any large neighborhood.

Just got another HOA letter. It states that my dogs waste is not allowed in my own back yard because it is hindering the landscaper. The kicker is, this bitch was out picking up trash and cutting down trees on Monday when the violation was noted. This means she is getting WAY to close to my property. Close enough to see inside my dwelling.

Does this look HOA approved?
