I really might get that crank and pistons, depending on what the pistons are.

I totally agree. You dont see much of an aftermarket for 32V heads and cams and blocks because they are so damn good from factory. I was pretty much against the single cam heads until I saw some the times and numbers I have seen friends back in Cali put down with the FRPP PI heads that are pretty dang cheap. Even better with the TFS SOHC heads but them are some expensive fuckers.

Who makes the pistons? Are they dished, dome, flat top, for in-line heads (that's what I need), 0 or 28 oz???
Crank is nuetral/zero balance, not 28oz. Pistons are made by SRP. They are dished and will yield about 10.5 compression on a 60cc chambered head. These are for inline heads. I ran vic jrs. on the 408. These pistons are also good for a small dose of nitrous if so desired.

I have that mentality because my car is set-up for a carb motor, already has a new k-member for a Windsor based motor, already have a bellhousing, exhaust, carb, distributor, ignition, etc for a Windsor......plus i hate 2v 4.6's and hate working on 4v 4.6's........need I say more? If that's what you want to do, cool do it. I think it's a terrible idea, but to each his own.

Lol no grudge here. Though I am always up for some runs!

And that's an open invite. Though I don't really do the whole track thing.

I feel ya. I'm not opposed to other people doing Mod motor swaps (with a 4v), but they are just so damn hard and aggravating to work on. You can spend a 1/4 the money and go a lot faster with an LS based motor.

But back to my reason for this thread......Anyone got a 351W for sale? If I can find a good usable block I'll buy the crank and pistons from Chillerman, and get a set of rods from my buddy Jerry and slap a motor together quick....

I got the pm. I will call you when my next check arrives. Should be Wednesday or Thursday. Right now I'm kinda broke and am headed to Portal, GA in a few minutes to buy a complete 351W motor carb to oil pan for $200. Hopefully I can use this block, although it's an '84 and I know not the strongest....but it's all I've been able to find.

Well, don't know what year this motor is, but it's not an 84, it's newer than that. It came complete with fuel injected intake and all accessories. $200 was a deal. I'll tear it apart tomorrow and figure out what I'm going to do.....I may just notch the pistons and run it until I kill it.

With those swimming pool dishes in those pistons you may not have to notch them at all!
