http://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-clas...unk-hatch.html

My car was 3340 with 1/2 tank of gas and full interior with my 6pt cage and 18" Fikse's. I was kinda disappointed too but I haven't cut anything out except the lower radiator support connecting the frames. Makes me wonder what in the hell people do to get down to around 26-2700.

You can get a stock appearing fbody down to 2800ish. It takes a lot of cutting and time

And the removal of most of the safety equipment, like door bars, bumper supports, airbags and then going to all tubular chrome moly suspension would be a good start. I've seen guys just go crazy with a hole saw. I've also seen guys claim they took out 50 lbs in wiring.

Details then please.. I have a lot of stuff that I could remove from the interior still like door bars, dash support, carpet etc.. But I don't want a hacked up car like that. I think I have removed basically all the unnecessary stuff already.

You must have missed alot, lol. Here is my car with (2) full 10lb nitrous bottles 1 gallon cell under hood, and 5 gallons of gas in back cell. I have all stock glass, hatch, carpet, two seats, console, stock door panels, stock dash, full 10pt cage, stock frame rails still, core support.

Its a little heavier now with turbo but am about to have a new light weight nitrous car out later this year. You must have an iron lsx block to be that heavy.

I will have to get on it when i get it back.I would guess next week, but i will see.I never have really tried to make it lighter but will be workin hard on it.I may call you for some pointers.Looks like i got my hp where i wanted it just not gonna run the numbers until i get the weight out of it.But i will be able to mess with it some to see if i like driving it,,so all is good....And Curtis,i cant run you guys right off,You the king right now and then no one will EVER race me.....That would leave me stiin on a pile of money that i couldnt do nothin with...Will just have to build the hype till the end of the year......But i am gonna clean up on a gang of mustangs, within reason.....lol...2 step is spoken for,,,,,,

Lots for work, it took a good year to get it that light. Will be bringing out a new nitrous car this year and hoping it is 2500-2600.
