Of course he was running slow. He was probably tired because that was the second time he had ran (just ran from the car to the point the video starts) and he just got done fighting with the cop and rolling around on the ground.

No doubt the cop messed up but it really aggravates me that the media leaves out details and exaggerates others to push their agenda. There is probably no explanation for why the officer shot him in the back, but there is a lot more to the story.

I in no way support what the officer chose to do, but I could argue a lot of this with the media all day long.

Now they have this shitbag Mario Givens on TV because he filed a previous complaint for excessive use of force against the former officer. Givens is a many time convicted drug dealer, with a history of running from the police and resisiting arrest but the media is going to try to convince us that he shouldn't have been tazed, and now Givens is filing his own lawsuit. This is getting ridiculous.

Click on the + sign to expand each charge so you can see his history, it's entertaining::
http://inmatesearch.charlestoncounty...lse&SNDX=False
And all those PWID Marijuana charges means he was caught with 30g or more, not a little dime bag.

And keep in mind, that is only Charleston County.

He was fighting with the cop on the ground? I hadn't heard that. Where did you see that?

That was the report from the department and was backed up by the gentleman who filmed the video we are seeing. He stated that he started filming when he saw the officer and and deceased rolling around on the ground in some sort of struggle.

I hope that the dashcam video captured the struggle although my guess is that the angle wont be right. If he wasn't too far from the car, the audio may still be picked up and maybe we can hear what was being said, or if there is any other sign of distress from the officer. Who knows.

after seeing that video of you shooting last year, I think you would have hit him with all 8 shots. That's my opinion on the subject

Just watched the dash cam on live 5 news tv channel. car was in the advanced autoparts parking lot. The audio followed him chasing scott on foot and cut off (did news cut it?) after yelling taser taser taser.

Really a bad deal from an officer who was probably a good officer that just made a very bad decision. He was 100% in the right all the way up to the point that he pulled the trigger. The only thing I can figure that was going through his mind was that he was climbing the use of force ladder. Verbal commands did not work, hands-on did not work, less than lethal did not work, so he moved to lethal force. The problem is that once he drew his weapon the guy was running away and he should have never fired. However, I think if he would have only fired once or twice it may have been a little easier to understand how it all played out. The fact that he stood in place and fired eight times is the part that will hang him. There's no way the murder charge will stick though. I don't think what happened meets the criteria for a murder charge. I wouldn't be surprised if it was reduced all the way down to involuntary manslaughter or less.

I wish the police dash cam was posted before he shot the victim. more went on before the shooting. Not excusing what the officer done in the original video.

Little curious about the car he was in...was he really going to buy it on Monday? So he ran because of the warrant due to child support?

I'm sure that story was bullshit. Pretty typical story type on a traffic stop with someone who knows they have done something wrong. He ran because of his warrant I'm sure. He had been locked up for the same thing several times before- he knew what time it was.

He needed to be shot for being that far behind on child support. I would feel that it was justified then. Lol

These guys have kids with a woman, leave her, and then complain about paying child support. They have no idea they have got it made. Go where they want when they want, dont have to worry about getting homework done, taking kids to wherever they need to go, dealing with illnesses, feeding them, disciplining them, repairing/replacing stuff they break, or hundreds of other things. They just show up once every other month or so like they are superdad and take them to the movies and give them a gift or 2. "Daddy is so awesome".

“We don’t want another Ferguson type of circus here,” a source close to the Scott family told The Daily News.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crim...icle-1.2179020

Scott’s parents, Judy and Walter Sr., got their first chance Thursday to thank Feiden Santana, 23, the North Charleston barber who recorded the fateful video of the shooting on Saturday that led to Slager’s arrest.

“Thank God for you. Thank God for you,” the father said, hugging Santana in the meeting videotaped by NBC News. A tearful Judy Scott also embraced Santana, saying, “Oh, thank you God!

excellent overlay of all videos & timelines & some info on the taser itself,

http://theconservativetreehouse.com/...h-taser-darts/

You can clearly see and hear this was not a short fight prior to Officer Slager using his firearm to shoot Walter Scott. But that fact alone is not the most important discovery in the past 24 hours.

What is potentially a game changer occurs when you review Officer Slager stating he had lost control/custody of the x26 Taser he deployed to restrain a non compliant Scott – and recognize the Taser actually appears to have been used against him.

At least one dart appears lodged in the upper torso, chest, shirt of Officer Slager.
